Saskatoon, the bridge city, is centrally located in the province of Saskatchewan. The city lies 780 km northwest of Winnipeg, a little over 520 km southeast of Edmonton, and just over 300 km north of the U.S. border. With a population of approximately 240,000, it is the largest city in Saskatchewan. Saskatoon has 4 distinct seasons, with temperatures ranging from minus 30 degrees in the winter, to plus 30 degrees in the summer. Even though the winters can be bitterly cold, the city does receive more annual sunshine than any other major city in Canada.

Demographics
Saskatoon is one of the least culturally diverse cities in Canada, with nearly 86% of the population listed as white Canadian. The First Nations community is second largest at 9% and the largest visible minority group is the Chinese at 1.6%. The population is relatively young, with an average age of only 35 years of age. The population is getting younger as more and more people relocate to the prairie province to take advantage of the all the growth.
