Brampton Mortgage Brokers
Brampton is the third-largest city in the Greater Toronto Area, it has a population of approximately 450,000. As well as being one of Canada's fastest growing cities it is also the youngest community in the GTA with an average age just under 34 years of age.
Brampton has a total land area of 265 square km. The City of Brampton is bordered by Vaughan to the East, Halton Hills to the West, Mayfield Road to the north and Mississauga to the south. Due to high emigration to the Toronto area, all the neighbouring bedroom communities (Pickering, Ajax, Mississauga, Whitby, Markham, Richmond Hill to name a few) have grown substantially over the past couple of decades. As real estate prices went up in the core of Toronto, and obviously land became more and more limited it was only natural that the growth would expand outwards. The city of Toronto and its surrounding communities are the most populated area of Canada, and one of the main economic drivers.
Demographics
As with many cities in the Toronto area, Brampton is very culturally diverse with 57% of the city claiming to be a visible minority. The largest groups are South Asian, Black Canadian, Filipino and Latin American. This unique blend of cultures creates a feel that you just can't get in many other cities in Canada. As mentioned above, the city is also a younger city, with an average age of only 34, meaning there is a strong workforce for those companies thinking of relocating to the area.
